Facilities and Equipment of Department of Integrated Science and Engineering
機械?航空宇宙コース
Training factory
There are various machine tools used in manufacturing sites, such as machining centers equipped with computer-controlled automatic tool changing functions that can manufacture parts with complex shapes with high precision using programs such as 3D CAD software.
Automotive Technology Center
We have all the equipment necessary for learning about automotive technology, including a four-wheel chassis dynamometer that can reproduce conditions close to those of actual road driving and measure exhaust gases and fuel efficiency while driving.
Aircraft Hangar
It houses the "Sonic Advanced Trainer T-2," Japan's first supersonic aircraft, as well as rocket and satellite models. You can learn about the basic principles of flight, aircraft structure, engine structure, and the structure of rockets and satellites by looking at the actual objects.
Spacecraft Research and Development Center
We are preparing an environment suitable for building artificial satellites, including a clean room that maintains the level of cleanliness required for satellite assembly, and a "space chamber" that simulates the vacuum and thermal environment of outer space.
ロボティクス?AIコース
Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory
There is training equipment where you can create a "LEGO Autonomous Robot Kit" while understanding the mechanism and workings of a robot, or you can learn more about how to calculate hand position using a 6-axis "arm robot."
Electronics Laboratory
We are fully equipped with oscilloscopes, function generators, microcomputers and various sensor devices to create electric and electronic circuits. We also provide a practical environment where students can work in groups to create robots, to develop problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Laboratories developing robots
We are creating an environment for developing robots to realize a better society, including robots that can move autonomously using cameras and sensors, pesticide spraying robots that use AI, and sensing systems.
Labs using AI technology
We are creating an environment where research can be conducted using AI technology, including outdoor autonomous mobile robots, a system for detecting anomalies in solar panels using statistical machine learning, a robot that automates Surgery punctures, and a patrol robot that detects diseases in agricultural crops.
情報科学コース
TNec
This is active learning classrooms for group activities and presentations using IT technology. Each group can display their personal device screen on the monitor and share the screen and audio with the whole group.
Media Lab
This is a multipurpose PC room where you can use PCs equipped with high-performance GPUs with 4K-27 inch displays. It will be used for xR (VR/AR/MR) using VR goggles, and for data science and AI exercises using GPUs.
Media Studio
This is a laboratory where you can learn about video production and animation production, equipped with soundproofing and sound absorption facilities and video and audio recording and editing equipment. It can also be used for recording research and lecture videos.
IT Lab
This is a laboratory where classes using special software and activities including group work are carried out. Equipped with 80 computers, it can be used for self-study as well as classes.
環境バイオテクノロジーコース
Biological cultivation and cultivation facilities
The facility is equipped with a variety of greenhouses where researchers can study the growth of various plants necessary for research, an animal testing room where temperatures, humidity, brightness, and other environmental conditions are kept constant to raise and breed mice, and facilities for the stable mass cultivation of microorganisms.
Mass Spectrometer
They are used for the identification and quantitative analysis of trace components contained in biological samples and food. There are various types depending on the type of biomolecules that can be analyzed and the detection method, so different types are used depending on the purpose.
Tissue Analysis System
We are equipped with equipment that enables spatiotemporal analysis at the cellular and tissue levels, such as a "laser microdissection" system that uses a laser to remove and collect minute tissue slices while observing under a microscope, and a "brain tissue analysis system" that can perform high-resolution analysis of the entire brain tissue of small animals.
Bioimaging Equipment
We have a wide range of microscopes and bioimaging equipment, including confocal laser microscopes that can obtain high-resolution images of continuous cross-sectional images of fluorescently labeled samples and reconstruct three-dimensional information using a computer, as well as electron microscopes and fluorescence microscopes.
