Hachioji CampusTeikyo University Fosters Literary Discourse in Vibrant Cross-Campus Workshop

In a testament to the power of intercollegiate intellectual exchange, Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus played host to a dynamic online workshop, orchestrated by the student group known as the "Co-reading Supporters". This event saw a convergence of minds as five bright talents from Numazu High School, nestled in the heart of Shizuoka Prefecture's Numazu City, joined in the spirited literary dialogue. The focal point of the gathering was Bibliobattle, an exhilarating book review competition where participants must encapsulate a book's allure within a strict time frame, leaving the audience to cast their votes on the most enticing read. This collaborative endeavor marked the second installment of its kind.

At the forefront of this exchange were three dedicated members of the Co-reading Supporters: Takuya Niitsuma, a seasoned 3rd-year scholar from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, and Kota Takase, his equally accomplished counterpart hailing from the Faculty of Liberal Arts of Letters. These luminaries joined ranks with their counterparts from Numazu High School, who had previously contended valiantly in their own precincts to qualify for this inter-institutional showdown. Numazu's brightest talents took center stage, each delivering a concise five-minute pitch advocating for their chosen tome. The Co-reading Supporters reciprocated with sagacious counsel, crafting an atmosphere ripe for growth and exchange. High school participants were quick to commend, noting the vigor with which the presenters conveyed their enthusiasm, lauding the eloquence of their delivery, and even suggesting strategies for handling unforeseen time constraints. The evening culminated with a captivating presentation by Mr. Niitsuma, punctuated by an engaging Q&A session that drew out the inquisitive spirit of the high school attendees. This cross-pollination of ideas and insights serves as a testament to the richness of intellectual pursuits that thrive within the halls of Teikyo University and beyond.
