Aiming for highly usable digital transformation of academic information, we are launching the new Teikyo University Library System service

The new Teikyo University Library System will begin service in April 2024. In this replacement, we aimed to build a system that can more directly support "learning" and "research" in the digitally shifted education and research environment.

In May 2010, our university integrated the library system at six libraries on four campuses, including the Mizoguchi Hospital attached to School of Medicine and the Chiba General Medical Center library. In 2021, we added the University's Research Institute for Cultural Properties (Yamanashi) and introduced a service that allows you to search the collections of each site and a wide variety of academic information within the university at once, supporting the learning and research of students and faculty. . Furthermore, in this replacement, we will introduce the university library solution "iLiswave-J Library Cloud (Fujitsu Japan Ltd.)" with the aim of providing user services that are compatible with the digitalization that has accelerated during the coronavirus pandemic.

As a new service, we will start lending * using a smartphone app. This convenient feature allows you to self-rent books by simply logging into the app on your smartphone and reading the book's barcode with your camera. In addition, by implementing ERMS (electronic information resource management system), we will be able to centrally manage everything from the collection and management of electronic resources to publication, and will be able to search both paper and electronic resources at the same time from the Library Search Platform (OPAC). In the future, we will efficiently provide more complete electronic resource information by linking with external systems such as link resolvers and the "electronic resource data sharing service" released by the National Institute of Informatics (NII).

In the future, we will promote academic information DX with high usability for students, faculty and staff, with a view to building joint academic information gateways with other universities.
