On Friday, June 7, 2024, Ichiro Kaneko, Professor of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Teikyo University School of Medicine, gave a lecture at the NEW EDUCATION EXPO 2024 held in Koto-ku, Tokyo.
This event was organized by the New Education Expo Executive Committee and aimed to provide school faculty and staff with practical examples from universities and high schools and the latest solution information.
Professor Kaneko's lecture was titled "Building a Simulation Center and Its Network" and included a report on current activities in simulation education. He also explained the Global Consensus Statement on Improving Simulation-Based Medical Education, which was recently announced by the European Society for Simulation-Based Medical Education (SESAM) and the International Society for Simulation-Based Medical Education (SSH).
Dr. Nurul Huda Ahmad, a doctor from Universiti Teknologi Mara, who is conducting joint research at our university's Simulation Education and Research Center, also attended and gave an explanation of simulation education in Malaysia. He expressed concern that there are differences in the content taught at different schools, and stated the need to share information and skills.
At the end of the lecture, there was a lively discussion about AI, including inter-university initiatives.
