From June 6th (Thurs) to 20th (Thurs), 2024, three faculty members from Faculty of Education at Teikyo University taught classes to third-year students at Showa Daiichi Gakuen High School. The classes were held as part of the "Inquiry Program (field: education and welfare)" for third-year students at Showa Daiichi Gakuen High School.
On the day, 14 students interested in the field of education visited our Hachioji Campus and took part Senior Assistant Professor Professor Faculty of Education, "About art and craft classes" taught by Obitsu Shigetake, Professor in the same faculty, and "The power of dialogue, the power of communication" taught by Sakamoto Kiyoko, professor in the same faculty. Each class included both classroom lectures and workshops, and all students actively participated in the class formats that differed from high school classes, such as the high level of specialization of the classes and the incorporation of picture book readings and crafts. Teikyo University will continue to engage in high school-university collaboration activities in the future.
