Our university has joined a university alliance aimed at realizing mutual aid capitalism

On Monday, February 17, 2025, Teikyo University joined the "University Alliance for the Realization of Mutual Aid Capitalism (hereinafter referred to as the "University Alliance")."

Mutual aid capitalism was proposed by the Japan Association of Corporate Executives in April 2023 as a model for revitalizing the Japanese economy and achieving sustainable growth. The aim is to achieve well-being through a balance between private-sector-led growth and mutual aid, and to create an inclusive society through not only growth but also mutual aid in solving social issues in collaboration with the social sector.
Towards the realization of this mutual aid capitalism, a university alliance was established with the aim of providing opportunities for students and researchers to cooperate across the boundaries of industry, academia, government and the private sector as mutual aid human resources, and to exchange, learn, create and put into practice. Thirteen universities, including the University of Tokyo and Sophia University, were among the participating universities at the time of its establishment.

The university alliance will work with the Japan Business Federation's Committee for the Realization of Mutual Aid Capitalism to take on a variety of initiatives, including establishing education and training programs related to solving social issues that students can participate in, social entrepreneurship support programs for students, and collaboration with companies and NPOs.
Our university will also contribute to creating a better society through our university alliance efforts to find solutions to increasingly complex social issues.
