On Friday, March 14, 2025, Teikyo University School Corporation signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the Omuta Medical Association, the Omuta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Omuta City Nursing Care Service Providers Council, with the aim of creating a sustainable and developable city through regional co-creation.
In 2008, our university signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Omuta City, where Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology is located, and has been working to enhance our academic research institution, create a vibrant community, and develop human resources by mutually utilizing resources and exchanging people across a wide range of urban development fields. Now, we have concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement for regional co-creation, bringing together the network of the Teikyo University Group and the potential of the Omuta region, cooperating with each other in areas such as industrial promotion, health and welfare, safety and security, and human resource development, with the aim of contributing to the development of human resources who will lead the city's future development.
Going forward, a council will be established based on this agreement, and each organization will bring together its resources and ideas to further promote collaboration and cooperation in each field.
The signing ceremony for the partnership agreement was attended by Otsuka University Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga, and took place in a friendly atmosphere. At the signing ceremony, Chairman and President Okinaga stated his enthusiasm, saying, "We want to create an environment where people can discover the charms of the region, and increase the number of young people who stay in Omuta after graduating from university."
Through this agreement, faculty, staff, and students of our university will actively participate in various projects aimed at revitalizing the local area undertaken by Omuta City or related organizations within the city, and by working to make the city more attractive and vibrant, we will contribute to creating a city that makes young people want to study and work in the area.
