At the 14th Japanese Society of Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Academic Conference 2025, held on Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th, 2025 at Pacifico Yokohama North (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), Rina Miyajima (5th year, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences) won the Outstanding Presentation Award for Poster Presentation (Freshman Presentation).
The Society aims to contribute to the advancement of cancer medical care and the improvement of public health by achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes, reducing side effects, and preventing serious health damage through the advancement of academic research into cancer chemotherapy and the development and dissemination of scientifically-based cancer chemotherapy.
Miyajima gave a poster presentation on "Construction of a prediction model for the increase in AUC due to food for oral anticancer drugs and its application to supportive care drugs," which was evaluated as an excellent research presentation and received this award. This research utilized quantitative structure-property correlation technology to identify drugs whose absorption may be increased by food from their chemical formulas. We look forward to seeing more of Miyajima's future success.
