PHITS Seminar and Medical Radiation Simulation Research Exchange Meeting HeldFukuoka Campus

The 4th PHITS Seminar and Medical Radiation Simulation Research Exchange Meeting, sponsored by the Teikyo Graduate School Graduate School of Health Sciences was held at the Teikyo University Fukuoka Campus from Monday, March 17th to Tuesday, March 18th, 2025. The purpose of this event was to learn about the basics and applications of radiation technology and to deepen exchanges between researchers specializing in Radiology.
At the PHITS training session held on Monday the 17th, Assistant Professor Shigyo Nobuhiro of the Department of Energy Quantum Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, was invited as Senior Assistant Professor, and participants learned about the basic operations and practical use of PHITS. At the Medical Radiation Simulation Research Exchange Meeting held on Tuesday the 18th, six research presentations on medical radiation and three lectures on research and education were given, followed by a research discussion on the themes of simulation education at our university and international exchange.
A total of 45 students, graduate students and faculty from other universities, including Kumamoto University, Junshin Gakuen University and Kyushu Graduate School, participated in the event, and participants commented that the event was helpful in thinking about how to proceed with their future graduation research, and that the research presentations on a variety of topics were very stimulating. The event was also a valuable opportunity for third-year students from the Department of Radiological Technology Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology University, to prepare for next year's graduation research, and for Graduate School to give oral presentations on their own research in English and acquire the skills to disseminate research information.
Teikyo University will continue to share the latest research findings and provide opportunities to explore new research possibilities.
