On Monday, March 24, 2025, Ryusei Takigawa, Assistant Professor in the Department Department of Orthoptics Faculty of Medical Technology Teikyo University, was selected for the "International Conference Presentation Support Program" supported by the Japan Association orthoptist (JACO), a public interest incorporated foundation. The purpose of this program is for JACO to support presentations by orthoptist at international conferences and to develop human resources who will contribute to the development of research.
Following this award, Assistant Professor Takikawa will present the results of his research, which uses an eye tracker to evaluate eye movements during reading, at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA in May 2025, under the title "Effect of Monovision on Eye Movements during Reading: A High-speed Video Oculography Study." We look forward to seeing more and more success from Assistant Professor Takikawa in the future.
