Teikyo University was ranked 801-1000th out of 2,526 universities from 130 countries and regions around the world in the "THE Impact Rankings 2025" announced on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and 5th (tied) among private universities nationwide. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the university has been ranked since its first entry in 2021.
This ranking was created by the British higher education magazine "Times Higher Education (THE)" and ranks universities on their contribution to sustainability in line with the 17 goals set by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our university was ranked 30th (tied) out of 68 national universities in the overall ranking, and 5th (tied) among private universities. This was due to our high evaluation of SDG3 "Good Health and Well-Being," 101-200th in the world, SDG16 "Peace, Justice and Institutions," 301-400th in the world, and SDG10 "Reduced Inequalities within and among Countries," 401-600th in the world.
Our university will continue to promote efforts toward the SDGs through our educational and research activities.
