Fukuoka Campusaccepted students from Omuta City Amagi Junior High School as a work experience student at Fukuoka Campus

On Thursday, June 19th and Friday, June 20th, 2025, Teikyo University Fukuoka Campus hosted second-year junior high school students from Omuta City Amagi Junior High School for a work experience program. This was the second time the program has been held since last year.
This time, the program was conducted by faculty and staff members with the themes of "Getting to know Teikyo University" and "Getting to know the jobs of people working at the university (administrative staff edition/teaching staff edition)."
On the first day, the students began by exchanging business cards using their own original designs, then toured the campus and had work experience in departments such as the General Affairs Division, Academic Affairs Division, and Library, deepening their understanding of Teikyo University and the work of university staff.
On the second day, Professor Oki Yuji from Department of Occupational Therapy Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology gave a presentation on his research and a VR experience, and the students seemed excited and impressed by the technology they were experiencing for the first time. At the end of the program, the students were presented with three tasks, including a review of the two days, and asked to tackle them from the junior high school students' perspective. The program concluded with a presentation of the results to the staff and other people involved who had supervised the students. Participating students commented, "I was very happy to have had the opportunity to learn so many things," and "I want to use what I learned in the future."
Through this work experience program, our school was able to deepen its interactions with junior high school students from Omuta City and have them think about the meaning of work and their future career paths, making it a meaningful experience for us as well.
Fukuoka Campus will continue to actively engage in Community Engagement, placing emphasis on ties with the local community.
